This waterfall is a cluster of narrow cascades that form the centerpiece of a valley with lush green bamboo forest. There are at least seven waterfalls that are all separated. The waterfalls are emerged by two upland streams. And those are the most accessible ones compared to other falls in the area. This spot is perfect if you love nature view and landscape. You also can find another forest and village trail leading you to the falls with a rock pool base. This includes crossing down more steps with a natural view of a local farm.
Gitgit Waterfall
Continue to the next waterfall, Gitgit Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in Bali and has become a famous Bali sightseeing located in Gitgit village. The waterfall consists of a series of waterfalls with different shapes and height. It is surrounded by local villages and clove plantations which are very unique if you like to enjoy the natural urban view. The air in this area is cool and slowly becomes colder when you get near to the waterfall. Even sometimes the atmosphere in this waterfall gets misty. These falls are also usually called as ‘twin falls’ or Air Terjun Kembar by the locals. It is because of the waterfall’s flow which often splits into two equal streams.
Banyumala Waterfall
The last but not least waterfall is Banyumala Waterfall, located in Wanagiri village in Buleleng. The waterfall is also referred to as Air Terjun Tirta Kuning or ‘Yellow Waterfalls’ by the locals. It is located in the green valleys and requires quite a walk trek to get the waterfall. The waterfall of Banyumala is very gentle with steady streams that run down to its rock face and then to two other smaller rocks that trickle down to its side. There is a very clear and shallow pool at its base. Offering you cool air, small water splash to your face, and a gorgeous view, Banyumala gives you the sense of peace blended with nature.
Wanagiri Hill
Then we go to Wanagiri Hill which is located in Munduk, north of Ubud. It is actually a hidden hill located in an out-of-the-way village. The hidden hill is surrounded by a series of unique vantage points over Tamblingan Lake and Buyan Lake. Moreover, in this area, there is a unique human-sized bird nest, an Indonesian interpretation of Eiffel Tower, and a giant swing which is overlooking the water below. This giant swing is a bamboo-made platform and a very photogenic spot, offering a unique experience with its view. It is popular for its scenery and perfect for your landscape background if you like taking pictures.
Handara Gate
If you want to take more pictures, we continue to Handara Gate, a giant Balinese model gate and one of the most famous spots for photography. You might ever saw this amazing gate on social media since it recently becomes very popular for tourists through social media. Located in Bedugul highlands, Handara Gate is surrounded by lush green mountains, lakes, and rain forest that offer a dramatic and wonderful scenery for your eyes. Wide well-maintained bentgrass greens creating beautiful green surrounding, peaceful scenery, and the lovely background of smoky green hills. Created by Handara Golf and Resort, this iconic gate can be your backdrops if you want to have some pictures.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple
The last spot is the best to wrap our tour. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is a famous beautiful landmark with scenic temple complex which is located on the western side of Beratan Lake in Bedugul. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, literally ‘the source temple of Beratan Lake’, is the Bali’s most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities. The lake surrounding has to most of the temple’s base, creating a unique floating impression, while the mountain range of the Bedugul region encircling the lake provides the temple with a scenic backdrop. The temple complex offers the Balinese culture, blended with the amazing view of the lake. In addition, the landmark with trees and flower garden offer you a perfect spot for a picnic.
